Spent three weeks in June travelling around Scotland by train and bike. Auchmillan was the best of the 9 B&Bs and Guest Houses that I stayed in. And there was also space under cover for the bike too. The quality of the accommodation and breakfast made it an easy decision to extend my stay from an originally planned 2 nights to 4. Very convenient location, for both the station and the middle of Elgin. A very good continental breakfast is included in the basic price, but the cooked breakfast is worth the extra fiver. Travelling on my own the pricing structure was welcome - rather than the familiar single supplement. Have stayed in Elgin before, unfortunately without discovering Auchmillan, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Martyn

We are a middleaged danish couple travelling in own car along the Scottish coastline, from Newcastle to Dumfries, Arran, Oban, Portree, Tongue, Inverness, Elgin, Edingburgh and back to Newcastle. We stayed only in B & B's and Guesthouses, chosen by random passing or may be a hint from local people. The Auchmillan Guest House was a really nice surprice, exellent in any way. We enjoyed the extraordinary good space, and the best surprice: The beds had duvets, so we slept the whole night without struggling with blankets and sheets. Back in Denmark we conclude that this was the very best stay during our trip, and we would like to recommend Auchmillan Guest House to anybody for a pleasent stay in Elgin. Elsebet & Finn

Stayed there with a 2 year old baby who loved it, huge bedroom, fantastic sitting room and spaces for guests in the house, special different confortable bed and superb breakfast. Warm welcome, I would absolutely go back there and recommend it. Dear Mr Stalker, we just wanted to thank you for the wonderful stay in your very awesome house in Septembre 2010. You helped making our honeymoon very special. Your friendliness an the warmth of your house were overwhelming - please do not change that! We felt very comfortable in your clean and tidy Guest House, it was very cosy and if we were not already heading back home we had stayed another night!
