Details
Modern apartment in a 1960's building- the entire interior was remodelled in 2009 to create a more modern open plan apartment. The result is a stylish and liveable environment that surprises you the minute you open the door and leaves you feeling secure in your own private world.
The livingroom is light and airy with double sliding doors that open onto a narrow Juliette balcony to maximize the view of the Green Point common and the sea.
The open plan kitchen is equipped with oven, hob, microwave, large refridgerator, dishwasher and utensils for gourmet stay at home meals.
The bedroom has a queen sized double bed and ample cupboard space. The full bathroom is almost en suite.
Facilities include satellite DSTV; washing machine and drier; pull our sofa bed in the livingroom suitable for two people.
Security access to the building and a lock up garage in the basement

Location
The location is ideal located for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Doric is possibly one of the closest apratment blocks to the Cape Town Stadium and faces a tree lined side street. Please view our photographs for some perspective. Within walking distance you will find the V&A Watrefront and upmarket shopping mall; Cape Quarter shopping precinct; Woolies and Spar convenience stores; Giovannis Deli; restaurants and coffee shops. Mouille Point beach front and The Metropolitan Golf course is a three minute drive away. Central Cape Town with its museums, convention centre and many places of interest is five minutes by car or bus.

What a Pleasant Surprise.
This is a great flat in a really good location. I was a little concerned when we arrived as the building exterior is old and has seen better days. But once inside the flat would think that you are staying in a brand new property. Excellent finishes in a great location. Only negative was the exterior of the building, but who cares when the interior is really top notch. Waterfront is close by and new New Green Point stadium is across the road, so this will be helpful for 2010 visitors. It was very slightly dusty when we stayed there from the Stadium construction, but I believe this is now complete.
